MOVING FORWARD – Reading Your Bible

1.  Reading the Bible

“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”  2 Timothy 3: 16-17

The Bible is…

  • It’s how we get to know God
  • It transforms our lives
  • It’s how we experience His divine power
  • Through it we receive everything we need for a life of godlinessOld Bible

“…His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.”  2 Peter 1: 3

  • His Word feeds our spirits daily.

“But He answered and said, ‘It is written, Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every work that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’”  Matthew 4: 4
