THE PROMISES OF GOD ARE FAITH-FILLED ARROWS TO PIERCE THROUGH YOUR CURRENT REALITY

Genesis 43:15–18 (NIV): 15 ... They hurried down to Egypt and presented themselves to Joseph. 16 When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the steward of his house, “Take these men to my house, slaughter an animal and prepare a meal; they are to eat with me at noon.” 17 The man did as Joseph told him and took the men to Joseph’s house. 18 Now the men were frightened when they were taken to his house. They thought, “We were brought here because of the silver that was put back into our sacks the first time. He wants to attack us and overpower us and seize us as slaves and take our donkeys.”

THEY THOUGHT:

Genesis 43:18 (NIV): They thought, “We were brought here because of the silver that was put back into our sacks the first time. He wants to attack us and overpower us and seize us as slaves and take our donkeys.”

GOD THOUGHT:

Genesis 43:16 (NIV): When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the steward of his house, “Take these men to my house, slaughter an animal and prepare a meal; they are to eat with me at noon.”

THEY THOUGHT:

Genesis 43:18 (NIV):18 Now the men were frightened when they were taken to his house. They thought, “We were brought here because of the silver that was put back into our sacks the first time. He wants to attack us and overpower us and seize us as slaves and take our donkeys.”

GOD THROUGH JOSEPH THOUGHT:

“Take these men to my house, slaughter an animal and prepare a meal; they are to eat with me at noon.”

Luke 15:22–24 (NIV): 22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.

2 Corinthians 10

5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 6 And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.

SO WHAT DO YOU DO …..

LEARN, KNOW AND STAND ON GOD’S PROMISES

Psalm 16:8–10

8 I keep my eyes always on the Lord.

With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;

my body also will rest secure,

10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,

nor will you let your faithful one see decay.

DISCIPLE YOURSELF WITH YOUR THOUGHTS

MAKE A STAND AGAINST FEAR!

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Psalm 16:8

8 I keep my eyes always on the Lord.

With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
