Day 21 – Giving Out Of Your Lack Hurts
Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on. (Mark 12:43.44)
We have made it to the last day of the 21 day fast and all I can say is, this has been such an honor and blessing to share my heart with all of you through these devotionals. Pastor Brendon and I are proud of each person that participated and sacrificed. For some it was your first time fasting and for others it wasn’t. Either way, Pastor Brendon and I pray that this fast will take your relationship with Christ to the next level of maturity. I know a lot of miracles took place during the past 21 days, but I want to remind you that break through always come after the fast. So be prepared for heaven to shower down its blessings upon your life. I love you all!
As I was reading Mark 12:43- 44, I can hear the Holy Spirit saying, “No More Excuses!” Today the Holy Spirit wants to remind you that excuses will paralyze you, and hinder the break through your looking for in your life. This scripture paints a picture of people giving out of their abundance and here comes a poor widow that gives out of her poverty. What Jesus says blows my mind away and changes my entire mindset when it comes to giving.
He points out that because this woman gave out of her lack, she gave more than anyone else that contributed. This messes me up! The Holy Spirit is saying right now, “Give out of your lack and watch Me multiply it!” Please hear the voice of the Spirit and take action today by removing every excuse that stops you from investing into eternity.
NO MORE EXCUSES is the anthem of the true disciple of Christ. God is calling you to give your entire life to the work of the Kingdom of God, so He can receive all the glory. Make the decision today to remove every excuse that will stop you from your next fast, your next opportunity to love the unlovable, your next financial offering and your next chance to be a light at your job or your business you may own.
This 21 day fast may be over today, but our journey hasn’t ended, it’s just beginning. Your life will now start reaping the benefits of your 21 day sacrifice and I look forward to hearing all your testimonies. I’m excited to see the good fruit that will be reaped because of your obedience. You are blessed and highly favored!
Confession: I will make no more excuses and I will not look back, I am All In!
Prayer: Holy Spirit, help me give my life to you, including my excuses.
