AND YOU HAVE MADE IT!
DAY – 21 ABIDING
……whoever abides in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit, apart from Me you can do nothing.
These last 21 days have been life changing and I just wanted to personally thank each and every one of you for your commitment to the kingdom of God. I hope these devotionals helped you with your time of sacrifice and abstaining from distractions. We touched on many topics and each one is equally important, but this last topic is one that will separate the authentic from the counterfeit.
The word “Abiding” means to remain and to continue in. Let me simplify it for you, it means to be CONSISTENT! This is a very powerful word when we talk about having a personal and intimate relationship with our heavenly Father. You are called to be transformed and to bring transformation to your community and family. This only happens when we are in His presence EVERY DAY!
You are called to love when others betray and fail you, but you can only do this when you are in His presence EVERY DAY! You are called to be gentle when you correct others because of their wrong doings. But you can only do this when you are in His presence EVERY DAY! You are called to take risks as a child of God by praying for the sick, tithing, submitting to each other, denying your will, and living for His vision for your life, but this only happens when you are in his presence EVERY DAY!
The true test for the Christian is consistency! Your passion for God will grow when you are spending every day with Him. There is no other way around this fact! The Fathers plan from the beginning is to spend time with you, and in doing that you become more like Him each day. You must make the decision every day to spend time with the Father. Being a Christian isn’t a part time job. It’s not something we just do on a Sunday morning. To be a child of God is a lifestyle and not an obligation.
Your 21 day fast may be over but your adventure with God has just started.
Abiding with Christ every day will bring the supernatural results you’re looking for. God bless!
PRAYER: Holy Spirit please help me to be consistent with you every day. Help me to continue in Your word, Your love and Your presence so Your supernatural power can flow through me so the lives around me can be touched by Your Love. In Jesus name, Amen!
