Day 16 – FUTURE vs NOW
In Him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will…..
There is a lot of truth in this one verse but the focal point is, “in Him we have obtained an inheritance….” The truth is that our future inheritance as a child of God is heaven. There is no doubt about that and I can’t wait until that day comes. But as I grow in the knowledge of God, your inheritance in Christ Jesus is more than just a future event and more than just a destination.
You can enjoy your inheritance right now and experience the abundant life that Christ promises in John 10:10. You don’t need to die and go to heaven to experience this; it is available to you right now. The kingdom of God is your inheritance and it is released through your identity in Christ Jesus. The kingdom of God wants to invade earth now and you have been chosen to be the conduit of His power.
As Christians we love to use the term, “We need to wait on God.” And yes, there is a time and place when we need to wait on His leading, His counsel and presence to move us. But we must discern when we should wait or when we should take action. And I believe that God is waiting on you to take action today to so that His kingdom can flow through you, so that it can disrupt the plan of the devil in your community.
You are the answer to disrupt the devils plan of destruction because the kingdom of God is within you. Identity releases inheritance! When you know who you are in Christ Jesus, courage and confidence shows up, and then you are able to cooperate with the Holy Spirit. It is time to make a difference NOW, so stop waiting on God because He is waiting on you.
PRAYER: Holy Spirit give me revelation about who I really am. Give me faith to be the person that I was created to be so I can cooperate with You. Help me take action now by faith. In Jesus name, Amen!
FASTING TIP: Drink natural juices that are not from concentrate, and broth from fresh vegetables.
