Daniel Fast – Day 14 with Fusion Church

And so the Lord says, “You must leave them and you must separate yourselves from them. Have nothing to do with what is unclean, and I will accept you.

(2 Corinthians 6:17)

I think as Christians we complicate the definition of holy because we think it means to behave perfectly and to make sure we have everything looking good on the outside. The biblical definition of holy is simply to be set apart from anything that will hinder God from flowing through you. The Father wants to perform His wonderful miracles through you but you must separate yourself from the things of this world that will clog up the flow of the Spirit in your life.

If there is anything the devil wants to do, it’s to hinder the supernatural power of God flowing through you by getting you caught up with the desires of this world. Lets be honest, sin is fun and pleasing at times. If it wasn’t, it wouldn’t be such a struggle to stay away from it, and as long as you are living in your earth suit, you will always have a choice to make. You will either choose to obey or not!

You are called to be set apart so the love of the Father can flow through you so you can make a difference in some ones life! You are alive today because someone needs to know about Jesus. Don’t allow your selfish desires to block the very purpose God had ordained for you since the beginning of time. Gods’ responsibility is to get you to Heaven; your responsibility is to get Heaven on earth. You being the temple of God makes you the place where Heaven and earth meet. Will you be the extension of Gods love by separating yourself from the cares of this world so that He can be made known?

My prayer is that when people come in contact with me, they will experience the love of Christ, but I know this can only happen when I get out of His way by separating myself from what I want to do. Separate yourself today and allow Jesus to be seen.

PRAYER: Holy Spirit help me deny myself so that you can be seen through me. I need your strength and power to separate myself from the cares and desires of this world. In Jesus name, Amen!

FASTING TIP: Be aware that you may encounter opposition from the devil. Don’t give in. Continue on your fast, God will strengthen you.
