Daniel Fast – Day 13 with Fusion Church

Pastor Brendon Daniel Fast Devotional, Events 2 Comments

“Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but Yours be done.” Luke 22:42

I believe that the greatest expression of love the world has ever seen is when we see Jesus laying down His will and agenda to be obedient to His Fathers will so that eternal life could be available to the world.

God is calling you to lay down your agenda today so that you can meet the needs of others. This is what love is and being intimate with the Father is putting others first before you. We can’t force this perspective on ourselves.

It must happen supernaturally by the presence of God.

When we have a fresh encounter of Gods love, we will be willing to give up our own agendas so that we can meet the needs of others. Another great example of this is seen in Acts 2:44-47, the early Church sold their possessions to meet the needs of the people. WOW!!! Seriously, when was the last time you heard of someone selling their house, car, boat or property to meet the needs of another person?

I believe that supernatural power of God was so clearly seen in the book of Acts because the Church was selfless. Today I challenge you to ask the Lord if there is something you can sell to meet the need of someone else. And always remember this; you can NEVER out give God!

PRAYER: Holy Spirit help me to be selfless today. Is there a need that I can meet by selling something that I own? Lead me in this decision and help me bless someone today. In Jesus name, Amen!

FASTING TIP: Be discrete about your fast. It is not necessary to tell everyone what you are doing. God will reward you.
