Day 12 – HANDLING OTHERS FAULTS
Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. – Galations 6:1
The greatest pain that I have felt is when I have been hurt by those closest to me. There is no way around it, people will disappoint and hurt you. I’m not saying to look for it and to expect it, but be prepared, because God can use this situation of pain to build your character.
Handling others faults is the greatest test of love. The religious spirit wants justice but love brings restoration. The religious spirit wants to punish while love wants to be gentle. This act of gentleness when trying to restore a brother or sister in Christ is impossible if we don’t understand the amazing grace of God.
You can’t show someone grace if you never experienced grace. One of the saddest things I have seen is when a brother or sister in Christ falls into sin and the Church who is called to bring restoration, brings judgment and punishment. This must change! We must seek to restore others in a spirit of love and gentleness because it’s the way our heavenly Father deals with us.
The truth is that when you are disobedient, God may bring chastisement, but He does it gracefully and gently. Even when God is dealing with us because of our faults, He is still kind, and this is what brings true repentance. The goodness of God that you have experienced must be passed on to others when they have hurt you. Today God wants you to shed His grace on someone that has hurt you, will you allow His love to be seen?
PRAYER: Holy Spirit help me to be gentle, graceful and kind when I bring correction to someone that has hurt me or someone that I care about. In Jesus name, Amen!

RECIPE: Sweet Spinach Smoothie
1 cup water
1 Bosc pear, unpeeled, cored
1 cup fresh spinach leaves, packed
1 frozen banana
1 tablespoon flaxseed meal, optional
1/2 tablespoon kelp powder, optional
1/2 tablespoon spirulina powder, optional
Yield: 2 servings (serving size: about 8 ounces or 1 cup)
To freeze bananas, remove peels before placing in freezer. Put in a plastic zip-top bag until completely
