Day 12 – Free People Free People
Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. – 2Corinthians 3:17
Freedom comes to us when the veils of our hearts are removed so we can see Jesus clearly. How is this veil removed? It’s simple, we come to Christ. This veil that covers our hearts is a covering that blocks our view from the eyes of our hearts and stops revelation of who the Savior is from entering into our lives.
This veil is taken away in Christ Jesus and when it is removed, the ministry of the Spirit is to reveal to us the glory of God. Freedom is manifested in all areas of our lives when we are able to see the Messiah clearly. We all have different kinds of veils that hinder our view from seeing Jesus. Some are veils of doubts, fears, worry, anxiety, lust, bitterness, anger, envy and pride. These veils will hinder the eyes of our hearts and stop you from seeing Jesus clearly.
And when Jesus isn’t seen, we remain in chains (bondage). The chains I speak of are the invisible kind, the kind that is worn on our hearts. Christ wants to free people through you! Just think about that for a second, you have been enabled by the Spirit of God to help people be free in Christ! What a great responsibility the Lord has entrusted us with.
The truth is that you can’t bring someone to the place of freedom until you have been freed from your own prison. You cannot bring someone to unknown territory until you have discovered it first! Until the chains of our hearts are broken by the revelation of the glorious Christ, then our purpose as the Church is compromised.
Free people free people! Are you free today? If not, you can be! There is freedom in Christ alone, but you must boldly go to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and grace to remove your inward chains that keep you enslaved to the flesh. Taste and see that the Lord is good! Position yourself today to run to the Savior with all your heart and make the decision to go “All In!”
PRAYER: Holy Spirit, open the eyes of my heart and remove the veil from my heart so I can see who Jesus really is.
CONFESSION: I will boldly run to the throne of grace to get my inward chains removed!
